Collapse events sidebar

This is a little thing that would make a big difference. If the large events sidebar on the left could be collapsed, there would be significantly more work space. This would make an even more noticeable difference on mobile devices... Some of our leads are in areas without wifi and have to check in volunteers using their phones. In most cases, the immovable sidebar takes over half or more of the screen! This leaves you only able to view one column of information without scrolling.

There is not a button to collapse the events list. On a computer you can drag the divider smaller, but that does not seem to work on an iPad. I will create a ticket to see if we can do anything about that.

The administrative interface was not designed for a phone, so I understand that would be challenging! In the future we may have an official app that supports some of the administrative functionaliy. Meanwhile, I have enabled an unofficial sign-in application in your account that you can try; it should work much easier from a phone but we don't promise support ot maintenance for it. To find it, go to the Sign-In tab for an event, and the link to the sign-in application is at the top. Once in the sign-in application, you select the event to sign-in and then use the Search tab. You can also use the Scan tab if you first add bar-codes to your confirmation emails (under Sign-in > Settings).

Barcodes

Is there a way to add barcodes to reminder emails? Most of my volunteers have already received their confirmation emails.

If you check the box "Sign-in

If you check the box "Sign-in with QR Barcodes" that is under Sign-In tab > Settings... then any future reminder emails you send should include the bar code so long as your reminder template includes the [SLOT_LIST_WITH_TASK_DETAILS] variable. Confirmation emails should include the bar code so long as the confirmation template includes the [SLOT] variable or the [SLOT_SIGN_IN_QR_CODE] variable.
