I would like to create a signup sheet that allows people to sign up for a specific day that they will volunteer for each month. For example, I might volunteer for the 7th of every month, whereas the next person might volunteer for the 30th of every month. Is there a way for me to have them sign up one time for their date but receive a reminder e-mail each month that the event is schedule to run through, so in this case November 2018 through August 2019?

What generally works best for this is to:

  1. Setup the first month as it's own event - including reminders etc - get it the way you like it.
  2. Allow volunteers to signup.
  3. Copy the event and select the option to copy all of the volunteers.
  4. Adjust the date and any other changes for the new month.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 as many times as needed.

The advantages of doing it this way are:

  • Volunteers can change from month to month - if someone gets sick etc.
  • You and your volunteers will have a record of when they actually volunteered.
  • You can customize each month as needed when things change.
