Online Sign-In and Attendance Tracking are longtime features of ivolunteer.com. Recently, we launched a mobile friendly sign-in application for all our Premium subscriptions. You now can easily sign in your participants from your phone or tablet by scanning a QR code from their confirmation email or searching by name or email.
The mobile friendly link is now available at the top of the Sign-In tab in your administrative account. It will look like this:
[youruniqueid].ivolunteer.com/admin/signin
For easy access, you can also find this link on the ivolunteer.com About page of any sign-up Event:
- From your computer, click the ivolunteer.com logo in the bottom right corner of an active signup sheet.
- From your phone, click the “i” icon in the bottom right corner.
Prepare to Sign in Volunteers: Important Step before Signup
Before your volunteers start signing up, go to Event Details & Actions > Sign-In in your desktop administrative view. Click Settings… and adjust the settings as needed.
- Check the box for Sign-in with QR Codes if you plan to sign in volunteers by scanning codes from their confirmation emails. The QR code will be included in emails only if this box has been checked.
- Check the Hours box if you want to be able to adjust volunteer hours worked on an individual basis during sign in.
- Click Save to close the box, and then Save your entire Event.
Sign in Volunteers by Scanning QR Codes
If your participants have gotten confirmation emails with sign-in QR codes (see above), you can use your phone’s or tablet’s camera to sign them in.
On the Select screen of the sign-in application, adjust filters if desired and then click Scan QR Codes.
On the Scan screen, optionally check Continuous to scan in multiple QR codes. Select Front or Rear camera, and then click Scan to start scanning.
Sign In Volunteers Manually with Search Filters
On the Select screen, adjust filters if desired. Then click Search. Enter a full or partial name or email.
Once a volunteer is signed in, you can also adjust their hours worked if that field was enabled in the Settings on the main admin Sign-In tab.
