Each ivolunteer Task area contains one or more signup slots. On the Slot level, you have the option to add a point value in addition to the participation hours automatically calculated by the slot’s start and end times.

How to Assign Points #
- Click Edit Slot.
- Enter a number in the Points field. In some cases, the system will recognize identical slots and will ask if you want to update them all. The default is “Just Here.”
- Click OK.
How to Control the Display of Points #
Event and Organization settings also are available to control the visibility of points values. You can choose:
- whether to show your slots’ point values on the signup sheet. See Event Settings > Display. Separate checkbox options are available for “Everyone” and “Confirmed Participants.”
- whether or not volunteers will see their points in their My Commitments portal. See Organization > Organization Settings > Display/Layout. Select Yes or No at the bottom of the tab.
How to Report on Points Values #
As an administrator, you can run Participation reports on the Event, Organization, and Database Participant levels. Point values will show alongside hours.
